Boat Charter Expert is my Solent Motor Boat charter agency. It builds on my 10 years of Solent boat charter experience - as former charter boat owner and skipper.
I'm aiming to offer honest advice and a good selection of boats to private clients looking for Solent day charters in return for a small commission from boat owners/operators. (7.5% + VAT - no contract, no charges for cancelled trips etc)
I'm hoping this page will answer most questions but don't hesitate to message or ring me on 07555 100950 if I can be of any more help.
Regards
Mike Griffiths
I've been organising charters in the Solent for over 10 years. In that time, I've picked up a reputation for offering expert advice to potential clients keen to book a trip.
I've got a list of previous customers that tend to rebook with me every year.
I promote this site hard on social media and search engines (this is my background). This site and my previous Zen Dog Charters site (https://www.zendogcharters.co.uk) get a considerable and growing numbers of visitors.
I have a great relationship with many local hotels, holiday rental businesses & event companies that recommend me to their clients.
I charge boat owners/operators a very reasonable 7.5%+VAT of your charter fee when I refer a client to you. My fee is only due if and when the charter goes ahead - if it gets cancelled, I don't expect to get paid. There's no contract - stick with me for as long as I keep producing results! The clients don't pay anything for my advice and booking service.
I do a fair amount of social media and Google advertising. Potential Clients visit either of my sites. They can see all of my boat listings. I encourage them to click the Enquiry Form button. This starts an automated process that asks appropriate questions then sends availability requests to boat owners/operators with boats that match their requirements.
When planning this, I wanted to make sure I could get quick responses back to the potential clients. So, my software sends you availability requests by text message and email.

You don't need to remember login details - you just click choose "available" and add your price and any notes that you want the potential client to see. They then get a text message and email alerting them that they've got an offer.
At this point, if they've requested a table at The Hut, my booking software sorts this out too.
When the potential clients get sent your offer, they see a full listing with your advert, your photos and an AI generated summary of your Google, Facebook and Trip Advisor reviews (if you have any).
The potential client reviews the available boats, highlights the most appropriate and clicks a simple "Request to Book" button. This sends you and the client an email and a text message containing client and owner/operator contact details. You then make contact and sort out the final arrangements.
On the day of the charter, my software will generate and send you an invoice for 7.5% + VAT of the charter price. If the charter has gone ahead as planned, pay the invoice. If it has been cancelled or postponed, let me know and I credit the invoice - nothing to pay!
You have a login to your own Dashboard that allows you to update your listings and current and more importantly past enquiries.

This is all designed to be very straightforward and seamless.
Do let me know if you can see any ways I can improve my service to you, though.
You can quickly create an account on my software and upload your boat details. The software can use AI to lift photographs and a description off your website.
Once you've set up your listing(s), I just need to approve then you are live and visible to potential clients.
